CARL R. ROGERS Author of "On Becoming a Person", "A Way of Being," and "Freedom to Learn for the 80's" The Heart Talk process is an integral part of the second book published by Live Love Laugh in 1979, "More Teachable Moments". While this world renown psychologist and author was living in San Diego, he had taken some of his valuable time to review the "More Teachable Moments" curriculum materials and "Heart Talk Book". He was asked to review it because the author felt this work was in alignment with Dr. Roger's philosophy of the power of listening and discovering answers within. Though his comments are about all the materials and not just the Heart Talk, we are proud to be able to repeat what Carl Rogers said: "More Teachable Moments provides an excellent guide for the teacher to implement affective aspects of learning. This practical resource makes a strong contribution to the essential task of involving the whole child in the learning process."

CHRISTY Fourth Grader in San Diego "My name is Christy. I am a student from Crest Elementary School. I have met Cliff Durfee and he seems to be a very open and fun-loving person. Over the past three years I have had the opportunity to participate in the Heart Talks that have gone on in my class. I think that the Heart Talk has in some ways emotionally changed me. I also think that when we have a Heart Talk in the class I feel that I can let my mouth tell my feelings out loud to the other people without having to worry what will happen. I think the Heart Talk is a very good way to express yourself."
